David Holmgren will be leading a “Retrofitting Mullumbimby” workshop following on from the previous nights’ public talk at the Civic Hall. David and his partner Su Dennett will conduct this hands-on workshop to explore ideas of future scenarios specifically applied to Mullumbimby and the wider region. The inspiring solutions from other parts of the world could be adopted in the Mullumbimby region, while particular innovative local solutions can be devised as needed.
Su Dennett will share her experience in response to peak oil through organising a CSA veggie box programme and facilitating the Hepburn Relocalisation Network.
Following the paid workshop there will be a free event “Sustain Mullum” celebrating the first anniversary of the Transition Mullumbimby gathering. A great place for locals wanting to create a sustainable future to connect, collect ideas and direct their energies towards collaborative projects for the Byron Shire community.
