This year (Dec04/Jan05) there was a record crowd of 150,000 over six days. David returned to give two more presentations in the Radiance program.
"Global Energy Peak: Threat or Opportunity" gave an empowering and inclusive understanding of permaculture as a multi-faceted design response to energy crisis. A similar presentation will launch the 8th Australian Permaculture Convergence in Melbourne is now a downloadable pdf from the Writings page.

'The Landcare concept borrowed heavily from permaculture practices, but Mr Holmgren argues the movement has scarcely evolved past the notion that pest plants and animals are the major causes of land degradation and that ferals and exotics must be eradicated.'
